In particular in middle school the emphasis is on the development of effective studying skills and nurturing critical thinking. It is extremely important to develop skills necessary for life and future study. Through units in health and social education students are taught how to live a mentally and healthy life. Environmental considerations are taught not only in science classes but across the curriculum in order that students understand the importance of conservation and accept responsibility for present and future generations.
In art classes, students learn to appreciate the creative and inventive genius of people and their impact on society throughout the curriculum and by focusing on rapid changes in technology. The student learns the benefits and hopes for the future that these initiatives bring.
The school’s policy is to accentuate the interelatedness of all of the subjects taught. This approach asks the students to consider questions in their widest possible scope and to realize that good solutions often draw upon insights one has acquired from various sources. The school’s philosophy is that education can foster understanding among young people around the world enabling future generations to live more peacefully and productively than we do today. |
